Arriving into Waalton on the Naze on the 09.56 train, we will meet at the station at 10am. We will leave the station and head down towards the pier and the colourful beach huts that line the promenade. From here we will head North along the beach past the seafront architecture of this hidden gem on the North Essex Coast. Past the Naze Tower and Discovery Centre and into the John Weston Nature reserve, where ancient meets recent history with fossils and artefacts strewn along the beach of Pennyhole Bay. Around the Nature reserve and back to the Naze tower, to climb the stairs to the top of this incredible structure (not suitable for those with accessibility issues) for a view of the North Essex and South Suffolk coast (weather permitting), don’t forget to bring your camera, you will need it!
