Choosing a 30 metre stretch of sea wall, where sheep grazed regularly, Jane started a year long experiment experiment to collect, research and document all the waste she could carry in the panniers or basket of her bicycle.

The waste changes from month to month, in the summer there is a vast increase in plastic beach toys, crabbing lines and sweet containers. In the winter the ‘holiday’ waste reduces, but helium balloons, fishing lines and net remain a constant. Tampon applicators, lighters and shotgun cartridges are found most days and recently there has been a worrying increase in disposable vape pens.
